Hi! My name is Jen Singeisen, I was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Venice.  I am an alum of Venice High School and the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!)

After graduating from UGA, I began my career in the non-profit industry returning to the area as Assistant Director at the John Ringling Center Foundation, then as Executive Director of Sanford Main Street in Central Florida.  In 2003 my family moved to Savannah Georgia, where my focus was on a growing family.  In 2010 I returned to working outside the home with Junior Achievement, serving as Senior Director of Education until 2016, when I was appointed Executive Director of Step-Up Savannah, a non-profit organization whose focus is to amplify the voices of Savannah’s low wealth community through Advocacy, Education, Wealth Building, and serving as a convener of social service organizations.

I moved back to Venice in November 2019 with my two daughters.  Once the girls were settled in school and things started to reopen up after lock-down, I began to think about getting back to work in a capacity that met our new lives in “vacation land”!  As chance would have it, I saw an Instagram post for Salon Advisor at Avenue Hair Design, and the rest is history.
